Preschool/Pre-K Aide - Full time and part time positions
We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and energetic individual to join our Early Childhood program as a classroom aide. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, supports a positive learning environment, and works collaboratively with classroom teachers and staff.
Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities and routines
Support students during instructional time, play, meals, and transitions
Help maintain a safe, caring, and engaging classroom environment
Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students
Prepare classroom materials and assist with classroom organization
Supervise students in the classroom, playground, and other school settings
Assist with cleaning and maintaining classroom spaces as needed
Communicate professionally with staff and families when appropriate
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children required
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
Strong communication and organizational skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Ability to actively engage with children throughout the school day

Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging instruction in core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Qualifications
All teachers in the schools of the Diocese of Albany must have at least a bachelor's degree to qualify for full or part-time classroom responsibility for grades K-12. All teachers should have New York State Certification or be in the process of obtaining certification.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred.
Ability to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that support student growth and achievement.
Qualified candidates should hold an associates degree or higher, and have experience in a school setting or working with children.
