Twiligjht Tattoo Hightlights Second Day in DC

Washington DC - Day 2:

Gracie - I really liked the Twilight Tattoo. At the end, I took many selfies with the soldiers there which was awesome.

Gabriel - I loved the American and Natural History museums. The exhibits were educational and insightful. I learned about the oceans and our history.

Joseph - The Newseum was awesome. We saw a 9/11 remembrance and had great lunch.

Luci - The Vietnam memorial was really cool, and I got to leave all the letters that the eight grade left in remembrance of those who died.

Aidan - The Iwo Jima memorial was really nice, and there was a cool illusion that looks like the soldiers are raising a flag.

Theresa - We went to the World War II memorial. It was really big and beautiful. There were so many hidden meaning like "Kilroy was Here."

Horaib - The Einstein Memorial was one of the best places we went today. It was the only statue that you can climb on in Washington DC, and it was really fun to climb on it and take a group picture. Mrs. Heilsberg also said that the dots on the ground of the Einstein Memorial were how the stars were aligned on Einstein’s birth.

Horaib - The Fords Theater was cool to go to, even though we didn't go inside it. Mrs. Heilsberg showed us the alley where there was a horse waiting for John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln in an attempt to escape.

Ayla - The national gallery had a lot of cool paintings. My favorite was the one by Leonardo Da Vinci. It was also cool to know that the painting we saw was the only painting done by Da Vinci, viewable in the United States.
