Count Down to DC

It seems like it was just yesterday that Mrs. Heilsberg began the disussion with her 8th grade students about the trip to Washington, DC at the end of the school year.  The trip is somehting that the students look forward to from the day the enroll in Kindergarten.  Following a variety of fundraisers throughout the year from McTeachers dinner to an Applebees pancack and the infamous garage sale that raised over $8,000, the students have one final step...to board the bus to DC!

They will leave school bright and early Tuesday, May 24th with their first stop at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, always a class favorite.  In addition to attending a Twilight Tatoo, the students will visit numerous museums and memorials, Arlington National Cemetery, the Library of Congress. and the United States Capitol to name a few.
