With Your Help, Generous Support of Anonymous Donor Continues the Vision

12/2/2013

DELMAR, NY ---December 2, 2013--- A faith-filled family with 5 children would like to enroll their children in Catholic School; they question whether or not they can financially manage the tuition.  A middle school student is a promising athlete; his family is concerned about cuts in athletic programs.  With the price of higher education on the rise, a young family questions how they can ensure that their child has an academic advantage.

Due to the gifts from our community through the annual giving campaign, Continuing the Vision, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School is thriving and has been able to ensure that families who truly want a Catholic school education have that opportunity.  At St. Thomas the Apostle School, students are not only participating in physical education programs, but have the ability to participate in a growing number of after school sports programs including soccer, track, volleyball, basketball, bowling, and golf.  Numerous graduates of St. Thomas enter high school with as many as 4 high school credits including 2 foreign languages, math and science.  It is because of the generous donors contributing to the annual giving campaign that it is possible for the school to expand programs and purchase technology that will enhance the students’ learning while keeping tuition affordable.

“High quality Catholic Schools, like St. Thomas the Apostle, exist in part because of the generous support of those who value the difference a Catholic school education makes in the life of a child” says Principal, Thomas Kane.  St. Thomas will greatly benefit this year from an anonymous donor who has pledged to make a difference in the 2013-2014 annual giving campaign.  All donations received between December 1st and December 31st will be matched by an anonymous donor.  A maximum of $7,500 will be contributed from the anonymous donor.

The annual fund is the most important source of unrestricted funds available to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School. It is the foundation of the school’s development program and is a significant source of revenue. The efforts of the annual campaign mean that the school’s mission to prepare each student to realize his or her personal destiny as a moral and social leader of men and women and as a follower of Christ can be fulfilled.  Donations may be sent to St. Thomas the Apostle School, 42 Adams Place, Delmar, NY 12054 or by visiting www.stthomas-school.org. Thank you for your continued support!
