8th Grade Trip to Washington DC

5/30/2014

Military Tattoo 2014

After months of learning about Washington, DC and the events that have formed our Nation, the lessons came to life when the charter bus packed with 19 students, parent chaperones, the Middle School Social Studies teacher, Theresa Heilsberg, and the School Principal, Tom Kane, arrived in our Nation's capital on Wednesday afternoon.  Follow the trip visiting the 8th grade Class Trip Web Page.

Since September, students have studied the history of the United States of America and they have certainly enjoyed their classroom instruction and projects including Cowboy day, 20's Day and the World War I trenches that they built in the classroom; but nothing compares to seeing the monuments and memorials in person. They are creating a memory that will last a life time!

Thank you to everyone who has supported the students on their journey to DC.
