Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do at St.
Thomas the Apostle School. Our Catholic faith and values are
constantly reinforced throughout the school day, and the children
are first and foremost expected to, as Jesus commanded, "love the
Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all
your mind, and with all your strength" and "love your neighbor
as yourself." (Mark 12:30-31).
The love of God instills in our community a great sense of joy,
which is apparent to any visitor observing our students or our
extended St. Thomas family. St. Thomas parents can expect their
children to be well grounded in their faith through:
Daily religion classes in every grade
Year-long, hands-on community service projects in every grade
Special school-wide service projects, such as Hurricane Katrina relief
Monthly Mass for the entire school community
Service to Church as altar servers, lectors and Children's Choir members
Sacramental preparation integrated into the curriculum
Advent and Lenten prayer services
Family-oriented focus with many opportunities for parental involvement
