The costs for delivering a quality Catholic education have
sky-rocketed. Even with the commitment of the St. Thomas Parish
community and the stewardship of our families, we face an
ever-widening gap between resources and educational and
administrative expenses.
The Annual Giving Campaign was established in 2003 with the purpose
of raising money for student scholarships, physical plant
improvements and future program development.
St. Thomas School is reaching out to its alumni and friends asking
for their help. It is our hope that generous contributions will
defray the ever growing costs of education and allow us to make bold
plans for the future!
The Annual Giving Campaign Funds
Scholarship Fund
Provides much needed financial assistance to families demonstrating
need to bridge the per-pupil-cost for catholic education at St.
Thomas. Also provides merit-based financial awards in recognition of
academic excellence and demonstration of Christian ideals.
Capital Improvement Fund
Provides physical plant improvements including classroom furniture
and supplies, building supplies for program development, grounds
maintenance and library and computer room resources.
General Fund
Offers a flexible funding source for the School Administrator to
offer academic and extracurricular diversity for the growth of the
Student Body as well as training and advancement opportunities for
the teaching staff.
Annuity Gift Giving and Estate Planning
St. Thomas the Apostle is able to participate in the Annuity Gift
Giving program administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.
Participants pledge a minimum annuity investment at a competitive
interest rate for life. Upon death, the annuity passes as a
testamentary gift to St. Thomas School.
Likewise, St. Thomas School is most grateful to be considered for
testamentary gifts. Please feel free to contact the School by
checking off the appropriate box to the right and we?ll be happy to
send you more information.
Endowment Fund
Donations will also be accepted in the form of specific endowment
funds where you, the donor, indicate in your Last Will and Testament
that a testamentary distribution be used for a specific purpose
e.g., purchase of a new curtain for the St. Thomas Stage, or to
refurbish the science lab.
