About St. Thomas

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy recognizes that parents are the primary educators of their children and that education is not exhausted by any one institution. Nevertheless, Saint Thomas strives to be an integral and affirming element in your child's education and development.

At the core of Saint Thomas the Apostle School is our trust in Jesus Christ, who is at once the inspiration, the content, and the goal of Christian education: "The Way, the Truth, and the Life."

At Saint Thomas, we strive to live out this philosophy in a threefold manner, embracing ideals of message, community, and service.

Message

St. Thomas the Apostle School presents an integrated approach to all curriculum so that the students are aware of their own worth and God's plan of salvation. This concept is reinforced by interaction among students themselves. At St. Thomas the Apostle School, children can experience learning and living in the light of their faith. An atmosphere is provided in which students acquire and can move beyond the basic skills and experience an excitement about learning that makes it a joy as well as a duty.

Community

St. Thomas the Apostle School prepares its students to proclaim the Good News. Community is at the heart of Christian education, not simply as a concept to be taught but as a reality to be lived. Active participation in the liturgy and sacraments is a powerful force for the development of serving the growth of the Church, now and in the future.

Service

St. Thomas the Apostle School strives to educate unique individuals who will serve society with their skills and talents. We promote the idea that each must serve the other for the good of all.
